H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, delivered the opening address at the 17th annual MEdays Forum in the Kingdom of Morocco.

The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, delivered the opening address at the international MEdays Forum, held in the Kingdom of Morocco.
In his speech, the Prime Minister advocated for the formation of an Africa-led marine Alliance between African countries and governments bordering the Atlantic Ocean, as well as the construction of a marine commerce corridor from East Africa to Morocco.
H.E. Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre also urged for the development of a Global South Investment Fund, as well as an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Forum focused on the cultures and languages of Global South.
The Prime Minister, who is accompanied on this visit by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali is among the national leaders participating in the 17th annual MEdays Forum, which is attended by delegations from across the world.
H.E. Prime Minister Hamza will have a number of bilateral talks with different international leaders while he is in Morocco, with the goal of enhancing collaboration and promoting Somalia’s national interests.
