The Council of Ministers of the Federal Government of Somalia discusses security, military operations, and political issues
The Council of Ministers of the Federal Republic of Somalia held its regular meeting today, during which it discussed national security, ongoing operations conducted by the Somali National Armed Forces, and the dialogue initiative extended by the DanQaran Government to political stakeholders.
The meeting, chaired by the Second Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Jibriil Abdirashid Haji Abdi, commended the Somali Armed Forces for their sacrifice in defending and protecting the Somali people. The Council particularly praised the forces for defeating Khawarij militants yesterday in the Kudhaa area, where the terrorists had attempted to harm civilians in the region, but were repelled by the National Forces, who thwarted the deadly attack launched against the local population.
During the session, the Council approved a Memorandum of Understanding between the Port Authorities (PSC) of the Indian Ocean region, submitted by the Ministry of Ports and Maritime Transport of the Federal Government of Somalia, as well as the Somali Postal Policy for 2025–2030, prepared by the Ministry of Communications and Technology.
Additionally, the Council was presented with reports on the Integrated Performance Management Policy for government institutions and the Political Consultation Conference announced by the DanQaran Government.
