Prime Minister Hamza Concludes Working Visit to Galmudug

The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, this afternoon concluded a two-day working visit to Dhusamareb, the capital of Galmudug State, where he held important meetings with the leadership of the Galmudug State Government and various segments of the community.

Prime Minister Hamza successfully concluded his discussions with the Galmudug leadership, particularly with President Ahmed Abdi Kariye, during which the DanQaran Government focused on ensuring that peaceful elections are held in Galmudug to prevent any setbacks that could undermine the progress achieved.

The Prime Minister commended President Ahmed Abdi Kariye for his announced decisions regarding the holding of one-person, one-vote elections, noting the President’s commitment to conducting the elections and then responsibly and peacefully transferring power to the duly elected successor.

Before departing Dhusamareb, Prime Minister Hamza met with Galmudug politicians serving at both the federal and state levels. They reaffirmed their commitment to advancing state-building efforts in Galmudug and strengthening the democratic tradition of peaceful transfer of power.

The Prime Minister was seen off at the airport by Galmudug President Ahmed Abdi Kariye and the Director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), Mahad Salad.
