Prime Minister Hamza Attends Closing of Mogadishu’s Peace and Development Sports Week Race, Encourages Youth in Sports and Unity

The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, attended the closing ceremony of the Mogadishu Peace and Development Sports Week race.

The Prime Minister, who joined participants in running part of the 3-kilometer race, took part alongside around 300 athletes. This year’s event was named in honor of Karaaciin and Saamiya as part of the Peace and Development Sports Week.

At the conclusion of the race, the Prime Minister awarded medals and prizes to the top-performing participants, commending their efforts and sportsmanship.

The race reflects the country’s progress toward peace and highlights the unity and optimism of Somali youth regarding the nation’s future and overall development.
