Prime Minister Khayre chaired a farewell Cabinet meeting discussed various issues
Mogadishu–March 15, 2018— In a normal of weekly Cabinet meeting which chaired by the Prime Minister of Federal Governmant H.E Hassan Ali Khaire was discussed issues including internal security, unified national taxtion, resettlement plan for returning refugee, returning the country code top level domain (dotSO) and other issues, While also listening to some of the cabinet ministers on their activities.
The Minister of Interior, H.E Abdi Mohamed Sabriye spoke about the progress of the plan for the next three years of his ministry that will resettle up to three million Somali refugees returning home. He noted that the ministry has taken over responsibility and urged it to carry out its duties effectively and efficiently with respect to the obligation to accommodate the refugees.
The Minister of Finance of the Federal Government of Somalia H.E Abdirahman Duale Beyle, who was briefed by the Cabinet of Ministers on the unification of the country’s tax system that his Ministry working on it.
“Integration of taxes in the country is the most urgent task ahead of the ministry, and we are holding a conference to discuss the best way to integrate the country’s taxes, which will be attended by the heads of members of federal government and the federal government of Somalia” said Mr. Bayle, who expressed his optimism that the conference would make an effective decisions.
Also, the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers discussed the security situation; with the Deputy Minister of Internal Security Mr. Abdinasir Said Muse said that the National Armed Forces have recently removed many villages from the insurgent group of al-Shabab, and there are military plans to eradicate these negative forces. He noted that President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, HE Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, is going to accelerate and reform the SNA forces.
The Ministry of Information and Telecommunication officials has also been given an information on the issue of restoring the Somali National Identification System (.so) that the federal government has entered into in its hand, detailing its significance and how it can suit the government and its people.
Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khayre’s latest short speech thanked the ministers who attended the meeting and others who witnessed the performance and efforts demonstrated. He emphasized the importance of strengthening the national commitments of the Somali people and the people of Somalia.
The Council of Ministers of the Federal Government of Somalia meets once a week in Mogadishu, which addresses the security, economic and social situation in the country, without the constant accountability of the Government institutions to ensure the smooth running of the community.
